About the Book

Religious Shunning Book CoverReligious Shunning: The Secret Struggle of Families Torn Apart by Religion was ultimately inspired by my own families experience of being shunned and ostracized from a religious community we were a part of for 20 years. That lead us to meeting many other families with similar backgrounds and we quickly realized that shunning wasn’t as uncommon as we had once thought. There are hundreds of thousands of families torn apart because of religion and “church” policies.

This Anthology is not about bashing religion, we are of course all free to believe in any religion we choose and I respect the religious beliefs of others, just so long as those beliefs are not harming anyone. However, that being said, I do not believe in destroying lives and families in the name of religion or in the name of God.

Religion is a belief system – church is a man made organization and where there is man there is usually corruption, this has been proven time and time again.

Religious Shunning: The Secret Struggle of Families Torn Apart by Religion will take you into the lives of people who are struggling to cope with loved ones
who no longer speak to them out of fear of losing their total salvation. Imagine your own child or your mother or father never speaking to you again because you don’t share the same belief system that they do.

You will meet former members of Jehovah Witness, Scientology, Seven Day Adventists,  and others who will share there heart breaking stories of losing their children, mothers and fathers and brothers and sisters all in the name of religion.
